Daniel Maxson is a piano tuner/technician based in Lincoln, IL, and services the Central Illinois area. He has worked on a variety of pianos in just about every venue considerable, from schools, universities, religious institutions, residences, community centers, to performance halls. His proficiency with a tuning lever is matched by his abilities in diagnosing and repairing issues derived from the key, string, action, pedal, or any other internal mechanism of the instrument.

Between another local technician Chuck Beck and Daniel, the two take care of the campus’ 95 pianos over the course of the year, usually multiple times per semester.

Illinois College’s Steinway D is occasionally used by the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra whenever they have a featured artist, such as Alla Voskoboynikova, a former pianist of the Kiev Opera and Ballet, and now Chair of the Piano Department at the University of Missouri St. Louis.
